Amy Rosenberg, LCSW
I am a Psychotherapist and Sex Therapist with 20 years of clinical experience and have been trained in a variety of modalities. My style is warm, non-judgmental, engaging and interactive. I draw from my eclectic background in helping each, individual patient or couple deepen their understanding of themselves – so that they may grow, find satisfaction and solutions. This is accomplished by exploring issues deeply and honestly. I create a safe environment where patients feel comfortable examining their emotional lives and listening to their innermost feelings – free from psychological distortion.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I gained business experience working in a small global company, a Fortune 500 and a family-run business – giving me valuable insights into the nature of different business environments, and how people tend to behave in those organizations. I observed that relationships at work were as big a factor in career success as an individual’s intellect and expertise. By drawing on my business background in my therapy practice, I facilitate many patients to better understand and manage workplace conflicts with co-workers, bosses and those whom they manage. I also work with patients in evaluating and adjusting their career goals, procrastination, anger, fear of success, fear of failure, insecurity, difficulty staying focused, communication problems and burnout.
I have been a featured guest of mainstream media – including Sirius Satellite Doctor Radio, in Self Magazine, on TV’s The Geraldo Show and most recently, online – at The Huffington Post.
